Vanderlyn Elementary: One of eight Georgia schools nominated for President Bush€™s Blue Ribbon Schools Program in February of 2003 because of the outstanding academic performance of the school €“ Vanderlyn is in the top 10% of elementary schools in Georgia on reading and math assessments.

  • Vanderlyn Elementary is the proud recipient of the 2007-2008 Platinum Award from the Governor€™s Office of Student Achievement for the 4th year in a row.  This award was given to only 18 schools in the state of Georgia this year. It is awarded to the schools with the highest percentage of students meeting or exceeding state standards.
    Austin Elementary: On the 2004-2005, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 Georgia Report Card of K-12 Schools, Austin was ranked a Platinum School.
  • Montgomery Elementary Awards and Honors: Woodruff Arts Center School of the Year; Platinum Award for Student Achievement; Georgia School of Excellence; Grant recipient for numerous projects.
  • Kingsley Elementary Awards and Honors: Kingsley€™sCharter Council was recognized as the 2008 National Parent Teacher Group of the Year by PTO Today Magazine; Several winners in the state-wide Math Fest.
  • Dunwoody High School Awards and Honors: Eighteen Advanced Placement offerings; Seven National Merit Scholarship Finalists.
  • Chamblee High School Awards and Honors: 2010-2011 Simon Scholar Certified High School; 93% Of 2009-10 1st-time test takers passed 3 of 5 components of the Georgia High School Graduation Test and exceeded DCSS, Metro RESA, and the state averages on all 5 components; ACT & SAT scores exceeded state averages; 1st Place in Greater Atlanta Mathematics Examinations for past 9 years.
