About Roswell Properties

Homes in Roswell, GA

One of the real estate trends here are swim/tennis communities. Swim/tennis communities are highly desirable because they not only offer a nice home for your family, yet they also provide a community where you can get involved in the tennis activities and also the pool amenities. If you are looking for new construction or newer Roswell homes for sale, you will discover many enclaves of developments mixed in with some of the older, original homes. Because there isn't as much land left, newer enclaves are more common but matter what type of house you're seeking, we can help find the perfect fit.

With many of North Fulton’s top schools found in the area as well, this is truly is a great place to start looking for Roswell homes for sale. If you do move here, you'll find there's little reason to leaveunless of course you want to explore the nearby areas and attractions.

Explore The Roswell Area

The charming historic district in downtown Roswell is home to a variety of shops and services, including gift shops, galleries, antique shops, and clothing purveyors. Don't miss the Alive After Fiveevent, where Canton Street comes alive! Stroll down the brick sidewalks and enjoy the sound of live music, shopping, dining and visit the vendor booths for local information. This great annual event takes place every third Thursday of the month, beginning in April and ending in October, from 5pm to 9pm.

Make sure to check out the food trucks set up at the Roswell Square during the Alive After Five event as well. The Roswell Square is located less than a mile down the road.  If you happen to miss the Food Trucks at the Alive After Five event, plan to see them on the weekends at Don White Park, known as “Roswell River Food Truck Weekends.” Speaking of the square, you can stop by at anytime for a relaxing morning or afternoon visit. The square is also home to many events throughout the year with the Colors For Arts Festival as our favorite. This event is organized by the local Junior Women’s Club and the Historic Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau.

With so many things to do in and around Roswell homes for sale, we are only highlighting a few of the places that are our favorites. This is just the place to visit and settle down if you're looking to satisfy your love of local history.

Put on your hiking boots and go across the street from the square where you will find a two mile hike around the Roswell Mill area, the covered bridge and Vickery Creek. The original mill dates back to 1839 with a blacksmith shop, a machine shop used to power the mill along with use of the Vickery Creek. Today the covered bridge and Vickery Creek area are excellent places to have family pictures taken.

The local ghost tour, one of Maria’s favorites, has been around since 1999. This 2.5 hour walking tour meets up in the historic part of Roswell at the Roswell Square and takes you around to many historic stops which hold stories fit for this Roswell Ghost Tour.

You may want to check out the Southern Trilogy Historic Homes and tour Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation. Today Barrington Hall is one of Roswell’s historic house museums and you certainly need to check this home out during the holidays! During the 1830’s, Barrington Hall was home to Barrington King who, along with his father Roswell King, founded the colony which became Roswell, GA.

Bullloch Hall was built in 1839 by one of Roswell’s first settlers, Major James Stephens Bulloch. Our 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt was the grandson to Major James Stephens Bulloch.

Smith Plantation, built in 1838 by one of Roswell’s founding fathers Archibald Smith, is now preserved as an untouched treasure of Roswell Georgia and southern history. One of the best examples of historical, cultural and architectural representation of the 1830s, a tour of this home and grounds is a must!

The Chattahoochee Nature Center, located on 127 acres adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, offers environmental education with an onsite wildlife clinic. This center helps with the rehabilitation of birds of prey, amphibians and reptiles. Voted Nickelodeon's Parent's Pick, Best Day Camp for Big Kids, The Chattahoochee Nature Center offers day camp during the Summer, Winter and even Spring Break.
